Arabian Gulf Subsea Cable Route Investigation

Project Overview

AGSME performed a comprehensive geophysical and geotechnical site investigation for a major submarine telecommunications cable installation project across the Arabian Gulf. The survey covered the full cable route from landfall to landfall, providing the engineering data needed for cable route selection, burial assessment, and installation planning.

Key Challenges

Long survey route across varying seabed conditions. Coordination with maritime traffic in busy shipping lanes. Integration of multiple survey datasets for comprehensive route characterization.

Results & Outcomes

Delivered complete route characterization data enabling optimized cable route selection. Identified and mapped all seabed hazards along the route. Cable burial feasibility assessment reduced installation risks and costs.
