Project Completion
AGSME has successfully completed a comprehensive offshore geotechnical investigation program for the National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) at the Mubaraz Field, Abu Dhabi. The project involved detailed seabed and sub-seabed characterization to support pipeline installation engineering.
Scope of Work
The investigation program included:
- Rock core drilling along the proposed pipeline route
- Seabed CPT testing at platform and riser locations
- Vibro core sampling for shallow soil characterization
- Comprehensive laboratory testing program
- Geotechnical interpretive reporting with design recommendations
Key Achievements
The project was completed ahead of schedule with zero safety incidents. Core recovery rates exceeded 95%, providing excellent quality data for the engineering design team. The geotechnical data enabled optimised pipeline route selection and informed the installation methodology, contributing to overall project cost savings.
